We present a new approach for the mechanically consistent modelling and simulation of fluid–structure interactions (FSI) with contact. The fundamental idea consists combining relaxation contact conditions seepage through porous layer co-dimension one during For latter, Darcy model is considered in thin attached to solid boundary limit infinitesimal thickness. resulting computational both simple implement.
